About Me

Since I was a child, I have been fascinated with people. Over the years, this fascination has led me down many different roads. I first explored this interest as a portrait and event photographer, traveling the United States to photograph events for the NBA and Miss USA Organization. Seeking new challenges, I transitioned into the commercial video space, where I worked as a camera operator and lighting technician on both narrative and documentary film projects. Eventually, my curiosity and evolving skills brought me to Belgium, where I now work as a freelance multimedia journalist. Throughout each career change, my fascination with people and their daily experiences has remained constant. Recently, this passion has taken me to Ukraine to capture everyday life in a war-torn country, to France to document the migration crisis, and to Belgian towns to report on the emergence of the far-right movement in Europe. My key takeaway is that a pageant queen can have much in common with an NBA player, a refugee, an 80-year-old pensioner in Ukraine, or even a far-right extremist. We are all just human at the end of the day, and I intend to keep exploring that shared humanity in all of us for as long as I can.
