Summer Time In Kharkiv, Ukraine.

On July 11th, 2025, I stepped foot in Kharkiv for the first time. My objective while in the city was to interview an American volunteer at an NGO called Through The War.

My stay in the city was only for 4 days, but that short amount of time was enough to leave a lasting impression.

My first night/early morning was filled with the sounds of Shahed drones and Telegram notifications warning me of enemy aircraft in the city. I eventually managed to fall asleep for a few hours, but awoke to the noise of the air raid alarm, this time signaling the end of the air raid.
